We are three women from Oaxaca and Mexico City. Meninas de Oaxaca is a mezcal with a cause; thought by, designed and promoted by women in equal commerce with the intention to assist and support fair workplace equality practices, in a new concept of production and international commercialization of quality mezcal.
We are interested in standing by women by donating a percentage of our earnings to a Breast Cancer association in Oaxaca. We procure work to women, yet we are open to collaborate with anyone that believes in equal commerce, and gender equality.
After many trips hiking the trails of Oaxaca, we discovered a Tobalá that we liked and that had the characteristics that we stand for: softness and quality. In our consultations, we reflected on diversity to enrich our project.
Our focus is a feminine, sustainable and equitable interpretation of the ancestral mezcal.
Meninas de Oaxaca is a mezcal with a cause that is equally focused on sustainability.
To preserve the Tobalá agave, with each purchase of Meninas de Oaxaca you receive the gift of a Tobalá agave seed. Attached to the bottle’s neck, are your plant kit and care instructions.
We have done it ourselves, as you can see from the growth pictures below.
